A location that makes us the northernmost lodge in Costa Rica, we have gardens in front, a pier and a backyard where you can find a fireplace and surrounding various edible and medicinal plants. Tapir lodge has four 6x6 rooms, each with a bathroom, hand wash service, mirror and 5 single beds. Two of the rooms have a balcony overlooking the San Carlos River, with exotic hammocks which can be found in the corridors and balconies of the lodge. We have a kitchen which opens at 6 am and closes at 9 pm. Our dishes range from typical, traditional, indigenous, gourmet and Caribbean fusion. The service is to the table, we have drinks like coffee, tea, infusions, tropical fruit juices, ice cream, beer and some artisan liquors.

Unique experience !

Tapir lodge offers activities that are unique experiences for our clients, this because of the exclusivity of our tours, such as "The Great Tour"; in this 6 hour tour we visit the community of La Cureña, during the tour we visit channels inside the jungle, a natural lake where you can swim. A great variety of birds and reptiles can be seen. The tour ends with a delicious lunch in the company of one of the families that live there. We offer guided walks to the forest both day and night, tour of medicinal plants, edible roots, fruit trees, visit to La Tumba del Alemán, we give classes in typical Costa Rican cuisine, kayaking tour and fishing tours both sport and traditional.
